PROVERBIAL CHICKEN---
There are times I feel like the proberbial "head-less chicken" - running around the office, trying to keep the paperwork from building up while still working on the recording and performing. I FINALLY have the demo disc off in the mail to Bil VornDick- the producer of HOTEL DEVILLE and producing MANCHESTER MORNINGS. This is only 2 WEEKS LATE! I was having a few problems (tech-wise) in my studio, and then after finishing the recording I couldn't get my state-of-the-art computer to burn a D#*n disc! Problem finally solved and I'm back on track.
For those of you who keep wondering what the dates and venues are for the European Tour, you know about as much as I do. I PROMISE that Doug will have them on the website as soon as they are confirmed.
Back to the demo-disc. 17 originals were sent to Bil, and he and I will decide on the 2 cover-songs that will appear on the album. All tolled, there will be 12 songs on the new disc. Needless to say, a few will NOT make the cut. Do you have favorites you'd like to hear on the new album? Email me and let me know.
Since we're on that "email me" subject- if y'all would like to help me decide which cover-songs to consider, you can have a voice here! Just email me with ideas of other folks' songs you've either heard me do, or would like to hear me record. I'll tally them up and present them to Bil at our pre-prod meeting.
OK, I'm going "back to it." Keep in touch. I'm looking forward to seeing each and every one of you soon!
PEACE!
Dave
