OF FATHERS' DAY AND UPCOMING TRIPS...
I must apologize! Things have been so harried this past several days/weeks that I've been neglecting my "blogging duties." This past week things started really snow-balling with the album project. I was able to complete the 17 original song guitar/vocal demo. The demo was shipped to Nashville for Bil-the-producer's listening pleasure and now we're in the "try this/don't do this" phase. This is that nasty time when I have to be sure I don't allow myself to become too attached to my songs. Bil has a track record that is second-to-none when it comes to successes in the music-biz, AND he's a good friend. To that end I trust his judgement implicitly... it doesn't make it any easier, though, when he doesn't get as excited about a certain song of mine as I do. The schedule IS still on track though.
Today is Fathers' Day and I actually had the chance to go to Columbus to visit the family. My son David, my son-in-law Kris and I managed to torture a golf course most of the day. This was after an early breakfast at a local Columbus breakfast joint. Wendy and I joined my Mom and Dad, my youngest daughter Maura, my ex-wife Diane, David Patrick for some eggs, sausage and a nice visit. I was able to get a quick visit in with my oldest daugther, Nicole and my 2 granddaughters, Kaylee and Aubrey before hitting the links. #2 daughter Kristy had a full day at work, so I missed seeing her.
OK, I'm babbling which is no good for any of us :O)
This next couple of weeks things should really get hoppin'. I'll keep y'all updated.
Take good care!
Hope to see you soon.
Peace!
Dave
