PERFORM-SLEEP-PERFORM-SLEEP-SCHMOOZABIT-SLEEP-EAT-SLEEP
AH! Such is the life at the Folk Alliance Conference. Each year I SWEAR I'm bringing my agent or a staff person and each year I "cheapen out" and don't do it. Someone remind me next year that IT'S WORTH THE INVESTMENT!
I LOVE being at the Conference and performing at the showcases is a trip too. I get to meet up with some folks I only see once or twice a year and what better place to be in mid/late February than Montreal QC, Canada?! (OK, there's JUST a hint of sarcasm there :O)
So far I've done 3 showcases and got to spend some quality time at the AFM, Local 1000 booth in the conference hall....
Oh, did I mention I've been sleeping a bit too? ;O)
My friend Michael Weston King from B'ham UK came in today. We're sharing the room (hey! when you're staying at the Hyatt on a folksinger's budget!!!)
It's good to catch up on our families and hang out a bit.
