Well, it's been a FUN week.
On Wednesday 25th my wife Wendy and I traveled to Columbus Ohio to attend probably one of the BEST concerts I've seen this year!
OK, I'm a gushing Dad, but what do you expect?! :O)
My youngest, Maura Caitlin was part of the DeSales High School band program for elementary/middle school students. Among all of the drums, saxaphones, tympanies, etc., etc., there sat my daughter- flute in hand playing along with the whole group. It ain't Carnegie Hall (IT'S BETTER!!!) OK, I'm finished with the "gushing, proud Dad" thing now :O)
Tonight (Saturday) we finished off the 1st Annual College Hill Sampler Fest. Organized by Tom and Missy Strothers (www.strothers.com) I did a morning set in the park followed by a number of really cool acts. This evening was the culmination of the one day festival with a concert featuring a bunch of us. The MAIN ACT for the night was the legend herself; Jean Ritchie. I've had the honor of sharing stage once before with her and it was a thrill to do that again!

After the show my wife, Wendy and I accompanied Jean, her husband George and our friends Pru and Jim Hunt to Perkins for a (really) late night breakfast... where these folks get their energy is beyond me!
