Feeling the Irish in me :O)
Last night was a fun little gig in which Stan, my percussionist experienced "baptism by fire."
Peg and I were playing the Dubliner in Cinci and Stan rounded out the trio....
Many of the songs we did, he'd NEVER heard before. He truly rose to the occasion and proved why he's the pro he is!
Saturday night i played 2 solo sets at the 3rd Annual Irish Heritage Festival in Newport Kentucky. As we all know many/most of our American Folk Music can trace its roots to Ireland/Scotland/England/Africa and many other parts of this great, big wonderful world....
I threw in a few good ol' standards for good measure....
93 degrees in the shade!!!! It ain't THAT hot in Ireland!
Peace!
Keep in touch!
